Fall Semester Detail


The King Sejong Institute Center U.S.A. offered different types of courses ranging from beginner level to intermediate level. Each curriculum has been designed by the National Institute of Korean Language the authority on the modern Korean language.
The courses are named after the books (Sejong Korean) and made up of 8 textbooks. Each book indicates one level, and after finish the class, you take a test to go to the upper class.

In this semester, we offer 3 different Korean Language classes. The classes are 48 hours, once a week, in total over the 16 weeks. The courses will be offered from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on the weekdays.

Sejong Korean language courses are an integrated Korean language class developed to improve the communication skills of Korean learners. You can improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through this course.

Course Levels


Intermediate 1A

6:30PM-9:30PM on Wednesday

Learners who have completed the basic courses, or have experience that matches the level can take an intermediate 1A Korean course. In this class, you can learn basic language necessary for social relationships. You can learn how to explain private events, such as anniversary and leisure time, and learn how to reject something.

Intermediate 1B

6:30PM-9:30PM on Monday

Learners who have completed intermediate 1A or have an experience that match the level. In this class, you can learn various expressions when you use public facilities, such as a laundry or travel agency. As well, you will learn idiom that are often used in Korea.

Intermediate 2A

6:30PM-9:30PM on Wednesday

Learners who have completed intermediate 1B or have an experience that matches the level. This class is intermediate-high level, so you will take in the differences between written and spoken language and grasp office conversation, such as how to write a document and debate with coworkers.
